Activities

Activity center – until afternoon hours we will work in small groups, where the child chooses their own activity out of many available. Every child will be rotating within the groups, and every activity group has a different aim.

• Language circle – aiming to reach proper communication skills in Slovakian and English, which will include : reading stories, fairy tales, creating stories, improvising, verbal games, mind benders, etc.
• Aesthetic circle – learning about art
• Music circle – getting to know music instruments, learning to play on basic instruments, rhythm and melody exercises, listening to music, singing along
• Art circle – drawing, painting, cutting out
• Literature circle – reading and listening to stories
• Physical training – everyday exercise, sport games, getting to know a healthy living style
• Pro-social training – creating positive social relations in groups
• Environmental education – creating a positive relation towards nature, theoretical and practical
• Knowledge development – improvement of logical thinking and expediting it in real life
• Mathematical concept – logical thinking, basic mathematical exercises
• Circles: ceramic and pottery, music, art, environmental, scenic, German (in case of interest of a bigger group of children)
• Additional courses: in line skating, swimming
• a lot of field trips
• excursions (library, museum, fire station, primary school)
